2015. Italy's first national lash extension championship
On 27 September 2015 in Rome I organised Italy's first national lash extension championship: 59 competitors, 4 categories and 6 international judges.

I love this project in a special way. Not because everything went perfectly, but because it was the first. The first in Italy, and my first as an organiser.
How it started
In 2015 Italy did not have a single lash extension championship. There were more and more lash artists, but no place to show your work, compare yourself with others and get an honest assessment.
I decided to create one. I was the president of IALBA, the Italian Association of Lash and Brow Artists, and together we took on the first national championship.
27 September 2015, Rome
59 competitors came from all over Italy and from abroad. Experienced artists and beginners competed in four categories:
- Classic extensions, Junior
- Classic extensions, Profy
- Volume 2D and 3D, Junior
- Volume 5D, Profy

The strongest judges
Every piece of work was assessed by six international judges: heads of well-known academies and associations from Romania, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Moldova and Belarus.
Each category had 10 criteria: distance from the eyelid, perfect separation, direction and more. Nobody got a discount. But the best proved they deserved the title of lash artist: the top five in each category received awards.

The first pancake
To be honest, the first time was not perfect. There were things I would do differently today. But the main thing worked. The championship was a big success, competitors and guests loved it, and Italy got a place where lash artists can grow and show what they can do.

What it gave me
It was my first big project as an organiser. Over the years I have spoken 14 times as a speaker and judged championships more than 40 times. But the first one stays the first.
